My name is Marco Piacentini

Short Bio:

Marco Piacentini is a PhD candidate at NTNU, where he researches Machine Learning methods for bone fracture detection and prediction as part of the DC7 project. He graduated in 2023 from Politecnico di Milano in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology, specializing in Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology. His passion for Deep Learning was ignited during the Alta Scuola Politecnica honours programme, where he gained experience in the field that is now shaping his research.

Passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and global exchanges, Marco aims to contribute to impactful scientific advancements. His research interests extend to biomaterials, nanomedicine, synthetic biology, and sustainable energy. Beyond his academic pursuits, he enjoys international cuisine and outdoor activities.

Expectations about GAP:

I look forward to collaborating with fellow PhD candidates to exchange knowledge and ideas, achieve meaningful scientific results, and build lasting professional networks and friendships.
